Our 9 y/o son has been taking lessons for 5 months. It's hard to keep my son focused for longer than a couple of minutes, but Mike has a way of communicating that really keeps my son focused & enthusiastic during his lesson. Mike's had a long & impressive career in drums, I've heard him "mess around" while waiting for my son during a bathroom break...you would think you're at a Rush concert listening to Neal Peart doing a solo!
Mike's very down to earth & friendly...great environment, in a beautiful home & nice neighborhood...my wife & I feel lucky to have found such a good instructor for our future rock star!
